“The airport runway is the most important main street in any town”
- Norman Crabtree, Director of aviation in Ohio

Unfortunately here in the UK, GA airfields are disappearing at an alarming rate and never replaced. No new airfields are being built.

These local assets provide essential refuge in the event of an emergency, employ many people, train the next generation of pilots and contribute to the local economy.

GA is thriving in many countries, but practically dying in the UK. The UK has a proud aviation history; these proposed changes are a good start to ensure it’s preserved and protected for future generations.

Please take 30s to add your name to this, the first step for protecting the UKs General Aviation airfield network, by recognising them formally in the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) for the first time.
