CueCam 2.0
So, this is probably the biggest software release I've been responsible for in a while, and it all started as 'pet project' for myself and a couple of other LDs (much like lxkey I guess!)
What is CueCam?
In summary, it's an app for recording and reviewing theatre lighting. I use it during rehearsals and tech, and to create archival copies of show I've lit.

What's new in 2.0?
A lot! The big one most people will notice is we've added support for QLab, both as an alternative to Eos for those who use it for lighting (a lot of small rural tours I've worked with do!) and also to include other QLab (Sound, Video, etc) cues in your CueCam recordings.
There's lots of little incremental things too that are all based on requests I've had from beta users as people discover and use it in new ways
- Watermarks (images or text)
- Add timecode to the recordings
- More OSC controls
- Ability to adjust exposure whilst recording
- Some protection around low battery situations
- Big improvements to timecode
- Automatic latency detection and offsets
Fixing the versioning!
I'm a strong believer in semantic versioning and unfortunately I screwed up once in the early days of CueCam, and because Apple will not let you submit anything with a version number earlier than the latest one, I got stuck with it.
1.46 should have, more correctly, been 1.4.6 for example. But since I accidentally submitted 1.46 I was stuck with it and I couldn't then go to 1.5.2 ... lesson learned, so 2.0.1 is at least a nice clean-ish start!
On the Fringe...
One of the other reasons for wanting to get 2.x out the door now is we're still in the middle of the Edinburgh Fringe and there's loads of people discovering CueCam there just now on such a wide variety of shows most of which use Eos and QLab, so I wanted to get it into their hands as soon as possible and get feedback.
CueCam is FREE for use throughout the Edinburgh Festival Fringe
